Ron Paul is a racist, bigot and homophobe. He is unfit for the presidency. Plus his economic ideals are crap as well. His foreign policy is outdated and dangerous. His views on Israel, are unfair and borderline anti-Semitic.

Because he didn’t write them. And it was over twenty years ago. These slurs won’t work. The more people learn about Ron Paul the more respect they have for him.

Perhaps you should learn more about him yourself. Try reading things that he actually wrote and that are more recent than twenty years old.

Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) will no longer be actively campaigning in forthcoming primaries for the Republican presidential nomination. But the libertarian politician’s legacy – including controversial yet popular stands on everything from auditing the Federal Reserve to withdrawing troops from abroad to radically cutting government borrowing and spending – is just getting started.

Paul, says Brian Doherty, a Reason senior editor and author of the new Ron Paul’s Revolution: The Man and the Movement He Inspired, “is leaving in his wake a set of institutions, and a set of hundreds of thousands of energized intelligent youngsters who are unquestionably going to shape American Politics moving down the line.”

Doherty argues Paul’s long-term effect on the GOP will be similar to that of Barry Goldwater, the Arizona senator who, despite a crushing electoral loss to Lyndon Johnson in 1964, energized and transformed the Republican Party into the limited-government force that elected Ronald Reagan in 1980.
“His fans understand that Ron Paul is not just out to win an election,” says Doherty. “Even if the [party bosses] shut the door in his face at the Republican convention as they did in 2008,…the ideas he injected into the party [and politics] are not going away anytime soon.”

This hearing examines a number of legislative proposals to reform, replace, or abolish the Federal Reserve System.

“More and more people are beginning to understand just how destructive the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy has been,” said Chairman Paul. “I hope that this hearing will kickstart a serious discussion on the need to rein in the Fed. 100 years is far too long for Congress to have taken a hands-off approach,” Paul continued. “The Fed continues to reward Wall Street banks while destroying the dollar’s purchasing power and driving up the cost of living for average Americans. This reckless behavior must come to an end”

The hearing was held on Tuesday, May 8th, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2128 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

I agree His followers are just plain insane but i wouldn’t worry because they have something that can take care of them.

I love Ron Paul. And I admit, he seems reluctant to attack Mitt Romney right now. I choose to give him the benefit of the doubt for now and think he’s just playing strategy rather than having some deal with Romney. But the association with Romney does make me uncomfortable. And I’m fully ready to jump off the Ron Paul bandwagon if these rumors of a deal have any substance to them.

Paul went after Santorum but stayed away from criticizing Romney.

And Paul staffers said on television that there have been meeting between the Romney and Paul camps.

Paul is seeking some leverage at the convention and he figures his best shot at it is tying his wagon to Romney!
