Views on Isreal: He backs their sovereignty and their right to defend themselves but doesn’t play favorites cause he focuses on America first and foremost. By not giving foreign aid we would save that money domestically while simultaneously cutting roughly 10bn in aid to enemies of Israel. We need to fix our own problems not be the nosy neighbor of the world.

Now remember, these newsletters were written by someone else who used Pauls signature in the age old custom of ghost writing.

That said, let’s look at the "questionable quote";

What about that statement isn’t true?

1. I have read those awful newsletters myself. I’ve also read 3 of Ron Paul’s books and a multitude of his speeches. Unlike the newsletters, Ron Paul doesn’t employ hyperbolic simile ("It’s the hip-hop thing to do among urban youth who play unsuspecting whites like pianos"), wordplay like "Morondon," or use prefixes like "semi-criminal" or "half-educated" in his speeches or writings.

I would just like to point out that Ron Paul is being skewered based on anonymous paragraphs written decades ago while his opponents (including Obama) CURRENTLY endorse/pass/sign thousand-page bills that actually -negate- our civil liberties. Agree or disagree with Ron Paul’s IDEAS if you will, but please recognize bias-inspired spin and speculation for what it is when there are friendships, photos, videos, words, and actions pointing to the contrary.

Ron Paul has always believed in free speech-even for people with somewhat radical opinions so long as they are legal. Ron Paul himself did not write those. You have to resort to blaming him for what others wrote because you can’t find enough dirt on him himself. In essence, you are angry that he does not censor people. Ron leaves it to people to censor themselves.
The controversial writings did not overwhelm the newsletters. Ron never said he agreed. They were a person’s opinion using only a small part of the publications. If you want censorship, leave America. Good riddance.
