Why I can’t support Ron Paul 2012 Campaign: Political Atheism
I am an anarchist, in that I advocate only an entirely voluntary society. Any amount of government is force & government is always violent; it must to be to tax & to exist, it must tax. If I am philosophically against government (which is just a name for a group of people who have the legal right to initiate violence against all others in a geographical area) then how can I “participate” in this violent system by voting for Ron Paul or anyone? Not to mention, a vote simply doesn’t accomplish anything. I’d rather spend my time being productive or living as if there already is no State.

Ralph Nader, Ron Paul, and Dennis Kucinich offer words of wisdom to the Occupy Wall Street movement. The Occupy Wall Street movement has tremendous potential, but only if we can resist the wedges that the corporate/government cabal continues to try to drive between us.
There are differences of philosophy between progressives and libertarians, but we CAN agree on at least four issues upon which we can make immediate and concrete demands. Success on these demands would go a very long way toward saving the United States and prevent us from falling deeper into serfdom and slavery.

Ronald Ernest “Ron” Paul is an American medical doctor, author, Republican U.S. Congressman of the House of Representatives and candidate for the 2012 Republican Party presidential nomination. Paul is currently the U.S. Congressman for the 14th congressional district of Texas, which comprises the area south and southwest of the Greater Houston region, including Galveston. Paul serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Joint Economic Committee, and the House Committee on Financial Services, and is Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology, where he has been an outspoken critic of current American foreign and monetary policy.
